Mission & Vision

Safe Streets for All, Transit that Works is a campaign to demand better infrastructure and policy that ensures all Chicagoans have access to safe streets. 

In recent years, Chicago has seen a record number of cyclist and pedestrian fatalities, and transportation emissions remain our biggest source of pollution. This disproportionately affects our most vulnerable neighbors: children, seniors, people with disabilities, and people living in low income and Black and Brown communities. 

This is a fight for safety, transportation equity and justice, affordable housing, and climate action. We’re working towards a Chicago that supports people regardless of where they live and how they get around, whether they walk, roll, bike, take transit or drive.
